The Sean Avery era on Broadway is at an end

The Sean Avery era in New York is officially at an end.
Avery signed a 4-year deal worth $15.5-million with the Dallas Stars. If you’re keeping score at home, the Rangers let Avery go over a difference of a few hundred grand per year. For a team that has no problem throwing ridiculous money around (e.g. “making it rain”), they seemed to be awfully blasé about re-signing one of their top wingers.
If you’re feeling upset, take a minute and put yourself in the position of the Mens Vogue editors or the Olson twins. Imagine how they must feel!
About the author: Marc is a Long Island native and a hockey goalie. He has been a Rangers fan for as long as he can remember, although, in the interest of full disclosure, there was a time during the 1993 playoffs when he vaguely remembers cheering for Pierre Turgeon and the Islanders after the Dale Hunter cheap shot. His favorite Ranger of all time is Mike Richter.

Good thing I never got that Avery jersey.
They are a collector’s item now…..get to eBay right away. Truth is they must have hated him in the locker room. We are all comfortable calling everyone idiots for not signing the guy, but he has had difficulty in the locker room with The Kings and The Rangers. Though, he punched Malik in the locker room and during practice, which was just plain justified in every right.
We’ll miss him. Some new ‘dick on skates’ will appear in the roster.
