Martin Brodeur unveils new mask design
At practice on Wednesday, Martin Brodeur unveiled a new mask design. It displays “MB30″ which is just advertisement for his new website, www.martinbrodeur30.com. I guess www.martinbrodeur.com was already taken?
I guess this guy isn’t superstitious at all. I mean. Can anyone actually remember a goalie with as much “success” as he has had change his mask design without changing teams?
I predict Brodeur to have a terrible season and the Devils will miss the playoffs because of it.

I like it… but yeah changing the mask when everything was going so well is a little interesting. Maybe if he sucks it for a while he will bring back the old one?
I think the real reason he changed it is because someone finally told him that that red squiggly thing on the top of his old mask looked like a wiener. Because it totally did.
He changed it because he liked the way it looked on the cocktail napkins at his charity golf event. If Brodeur’s numbers come down its because he came off a Vezina Trophy season, and the Devils are aging veterans with a window closing. Regardless, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes all-time most wins for goaltender. Something to remember for a decade or two while we wait for Jordan’s Lebron.
