Game Preview: Rangers v. Maple Leafs
The Rangers are at home tonight to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Also happening tonight will be the jersey retirement ceremonies of Andy Bathgate and Harry Howell. The ceremony begins at 6:30pm, and the game will be at 8pm. Both can be seen locally on MSG, or on Game Channel 7 on the Center Ice Package.

Good times.
Sigh. The Rangers are in a 3-way tie for 8th place in the Eastern Conference, and don’t seem very close to busting out in a big way to start winning again. I’m sitting at my computer trying to get started on a good rant about how much this team sucks, and I can’t. I just can’t. I don’t have the drive anymore, I’m burned out.
Let them sink right into last place, see if I care. Most of my conscious years as a Ranger fan were in the mid to late 90s and beyond, so I can totally handle a losing team. It’ll bring back the sweet memories of childhood: being a Ranger fan growing up in New Jersey. Ahh, the sweet, sweet feeling of embarrassment when saying aloud that you’re a Ranger fan. Mmmm, I’ve missed that feeling, bring it on back, boys. Bring it on back.
Just as a formality(just like the Rangers showing up to the arena to ‘play’), here’s the numbers breakdown.
