Rangers vs Senators – Picture Recap
This is a feature that will appear after every Rangers home game that a 5-hole writer attends. Enjoy!
The Rangers beat the Senators by the score of 5-2 Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.
The Blue Man Group played the drums (Yes, really) and then led us in a Let’s go Rangers chant. Hearing 18,000 fans chanting “Let’s go Rangers” with no music or tune behind them is chilling and has to pump you up as a player. The Rangers, for the first time since I’ve been going to games, skated out as a team, rather than individually. I liked it. It’s very Patriot-esq (I can say that since I’m a Giants fan, right?) and they ended up winning the Super Bowl.
Marc decided he wanted a beer so I joined him as I had an assignment from Puck Daddy to get the beer prices and sizes.
Good thing I did because I ended up seeing this young lady committing a jersey foul. Rory and I chased her down for a picture.
She claimed to be a math teacher and she was in fact cute, so I’ll give her a pass.
We then got back to our seats and figured out that Chef Duff of Ace of Cakes was sitting in the section in front of us. He was also committing a jersey foul.
Duff was in the section in front of us to out right, in the legends box in front of us to our left was James Lipton from Inside the Actor’s Studio. He seemed to be a guest of Rod Gilbert’s.
Oh yeah, there was a game going on!
Melissa: Eric, take my picture!
Me: But I don’t have the right lens on the camera right now, you’re too close to me.
Melissa: I don’t care! Take my picture!
Me: OK…
Melissa got a new jersey and I took out my point and shoot to get a better picture
Dubi Scores!!!!!
Game over! Rangers win! Wait, what’s Voros doing? Oh jeeze.
Yay!
Next game is against the Devils right now on VS.
Also forgot to include this, but I had a very deep and meaningful conversation with James Lipton after the game as he walked past us in the concourse.
Me: [yelling down the hall towards him] I loved your interview with Robin Williams!
James Lipton: [stops walking, turns around] Thank you. [continues walking]

I would like the world to know that it was I, not Eric, who spotted the girl with the jersey foul. And was the one that stopped her and asked if we could take a picture.
So there.
Well I actually took the picture so
Is Duff going to make a Rangers cake???
I hope. And I hope I get a piece.
